Incineroar (ガオガエン, Gaogaen) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It was confirmed as a playable character alongside Ken and Piranha Plant on November 1, 2018.
Attributes
- Incineroar mainly utilizes pro-wrestling moves, most notably having powerful throws.
- Its forward throw is a 720 degree spin throw, similar to Wario's forward throw in Brawl.
- Its back throw is a suplex, similar to Jigglypuff's back throw.
- Its up throw is a backbreaker similar to King K. Rool's up throw, but without jumping past the upper blast line.
- Its down throw is a one-handed slam, similar to other down throws in Ultimate.
- Incineroar will pose after successfully landing certain attacks. However, these poses are merely aesthetic and can be cancelled out of.
Known moveset
- Darkest Lariat - Incineroar's neutral special, as well as its signature move in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Functions similarly to grounded Spinning Kong.
- Side special is a command grab where it tosses the opponent backwards into a boxing ring rope, lunging them back towards Incineroar. Pressing the attack button will initiate a follow-up based on timing:
- Pressing at the perfect time will initiate a powerful lariat.
- Pressing too early will initiate a back body drop.
- Pressing too late or not pressing at all will cause the opponent to damage Incineroar.
- Cross Chop - Incineroar's up special. It leaps into the air and rockets back downwards at an angle, causing an explosion upon impact. However, Incineroar can self-destruct if not used properly.
- Revenge - Incineroar's down special. A unique counterattack that instead powers up its next attack.
- Max Malicious Moonsault - Incineroar's Final Smash, a more powerful version of its Z-Move. When used, Incineroar dashes forward, grabs the first opponent it touches, and throws them into the ropes of Boxing Ring, where the opponent rebounds back to Incineroar. Incineroar then delivers a powerful uppercut, sidekick, and punch to the opponent before moving on top of them and slamming them down in the middle of the ring, making a large explosion when it hits the ground. It functions similarly to Omega Blitz.
- A knee strike dash attack, similar to Zero Suit Samus's.
- A standing dropkick forward smash.
- A double axe handle up smash.
- A splash down smash, similar to King K. Rool's.
- A splash neutral aerial.
- A dropkick forward aerial.
- Forward throw - Spins the foe around and throws them forward, similarly to Wario's forward throw.
- Back throw - A back body drop.
- Up throw - An argentine backbreaker.
- Down throw - Slams the opponent into the ground.
