Trophy pages[edit]

It's appreciated that you're applying the template, but the discussion has been veering away from the "one list per page" idea. Maybe you could hold off merging the tables for now. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Riotous 16:34, 18 December 2014 (EST)

Yo, read this. Miles (talk) 12:34, 24 December 2014 (EST)

Just noticed…[edit]

You referenced FNAF in your amiibo section. I didn't think anybody else really played five nights. LittleMacmain97, a new kind of noob. (talk) 20:26, 8 June 2015 (EDT)

Regarding your edit to Lucas (SSBU)[edit]

Regarding edit, can you provide a source? In his Showcase video and screenshots, they look pretty pink. 72.133.91.93 20:01, 13 November 2018 (EST)Blueflame105

Undoing[edit]

Why did you undo a few of my edits? I'm curious as you left the summery empty. Wolff (talk)

Because you're adding unnecessary extra space and it makes the pages look sloppy. Wazzup111 (talk) 21:34, April 13, 2019 (EDT)
Could you please elaborate on that more before undoing them? I am not understanding what you meant by adding "extra space". I spent quite awhile on each one. I mainly did it as the layout order is inconsistent across all the move pages. I wanted the pages to match better instead of all being inconsistent with each other. Wolff (talk) 22:34, April 13, 2019 (EDT)
I can agree with making them more consistent across all special moves, but the way you're going about doing feels sloppy. Most if not all pages already have Overview (contains basic and applicable information about the move), Customization (exclusive to S4 characters), Origin (self-explanatory), and Gallery. Many of the moves are already rather self-explanatory, hell there are even quotes from Manuals and Ultimate's move list stating just what it does. I don't think adding just one sentence to Overview is repetitive and doesn't really add anything to the article. Even though there are a few inconsistent ones, just reorganizing ones the way you do it that were fine in the first place makes it even more unorganized. Examples of ones that are "fine" are Mega Man's and the Belmont's special move pages: very clear cut on what the move does and states its origins well. There's already a lot of discussion going into reorganizing some of the longer-lasting moves in Smash, like Super Jump Punch and Blaster. I just think that you're just doing so much unnecessary work to a lot of pages that didn't need changing. Although the Squirtle and Ivysaur pages did need a bit of an update, but definitely not Villager's and Isabelle's. Just my 2 cents. Wazzup111 (talk) 22:58, April 13, 2019 (EDT)
I understand your reasoning when you explain it.
Usually, an "overview" is a "summary of a subject". Some pages had a short summery, a basic idea of the move. A lot of the info stated in the overviews can be reorganized to be part of the main page. What I mean by that, Thunder (Pokémon) did not have an Overview, and the info that was stated after "is Pikachu and Pichu's down special move" was perfect to be an Overview. Stages are probably the main exception that I've seen.
One of the main differences between Thunder (Pokémon) and some other pages is that Thunder (Pokémon) had different sections for its appearances (and changes) in each Smash installment (it mostly seems to be Smash 4 newcomers' moves that don't seem to have that) rather than them being clumped together in the "Overview". Another reason to separate the the info of the moves from the Overview, is that most pages list the subject's origin if it did not originate from Smash itself. With that in mind, the stages are the only pages that don't really follow that, while the moves themselves, like I mentioned, are inconsistent. It would be much better if all the moves explained the differences between installments.
The "overview" is really only used by stages and moves. If the moves do not need to have an "Overview", then it can start with the move's Origin, if it has one, like pretty much all the non-Smash and non-stage pages. Wolff (talk) 00:37, April 14, 2019 (EDT)
The problem is that most if not all the moveset pages have always been this way: Overview then Origin. People are gonna look at what the move does and its applications first, and then look at the origin. It's a different case for the Assists, Stages, Mii Costumes, etc.. I'm saying that you're doing so much to where it feels so inconsistent among most of the pages.
That said, I do agree that we could reorganize a bit with game-specific information, although I think it should fit under Sub-Headers. Wazzup111 (talk) 16:49, April 15, 2019 (EDT)
I know you said "it feels so inconsistent among most of the pages", but I was doing it so all of the Fighters' moves wouldn't be any inconsistencies. Aside from the characters who debuted in Ultimate, the pages should probably have a clearer separation for any of the differences between the Smash installments. Pikachu's Quick Attack and Thunder currently being prime examples of what I am thinking of; starting with the "Overview"(having the basic idea of the move of how the move acts and is preformed), then the "Origin" (self explanatory), and then listing the move's different nuances by each installment.
