Incineroar (ガオガエン, Gaogaen) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It was confirmed as a playable character alongside Ken and Piranha Plant on November 1, 2018.
Attributes
- Incineroar mainly utilizes pro-wrestling moves, most notably having powerful throws.
- Its forward throw is a 720 degree spin throw, similar to Wario's forward throw in Brawl.
- Its back throw is a suplex, similar to Jigglypuff's back throw.
- Its up throw is a backbreaker similar to King K. Rool's up throw, but without jumping past the upper blast line.
- Its down throw is a one-handed slam, similar to other down throws in Ultimate.
- Incineroar will pose after successfully landing certain attacks. However, these poses are merely aesthetic and can be cancelled out of.
Known moveset
- Darkest Lariat - Incineroar's neutral special, as well as its signature move in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Functions similarly to grounded Spinning Kong.
- Side special is a command grab where it tosses the opponent backwards into a boxing ring rope, lunging them back towards Incineroar. Pressing the attack button will initiate a follow-up based on timing:
- Pressing at the perfect time will initiate a powerful lariat.
- Pressing too early will initiate a back body drop.
- Pressing too late or not pressing at all will cause the opponent to damage Incineroar.
- Cross Chop - Incineroar's up special. It leaps into the air and rockets back downwards at an angle, causing an explosion upon impact.
- Revenge - Incineroar's down special. A unique counterattack that instead powers up its next attack.
- Max Malicious Moonsault - Incineroar's Final Smash, a more powerful version of its Z-Move.
- A knee strike dash attack, similar to Zero Suit Samus's.
- A standing dropkick forward smash.
- A double axe handle up smash.
- A splash down smash, similar to King K. Rool's.
- A splash neutral aerial.
- A dropkick forward aerial.
- Forward throw - Spins the foe around and throws them forward.
- Back throw - A back body drop.
- Up throw - An argentine backbreaker.
- Down throw - Slams the oppponent into the ground.
