Luigi is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was revealed along with the rest of the roster on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Luigi's appearance is based from his most recent appearances such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey.
Aesthetics
Like most of the returning roster, Luigi has become much more expressive than in the previous games.
Luigi has a new dash animation that is akin to how he runs in games such as Super Mario 3D World and New Super Mario Bros. U.
His attacks are much more vibrant such as a vortex forming when he performs Luigi Cyclone, spinning when Green Missile misfires, or wincing in the final part of his up taunt.
Attributes
Luigi has a new up tilt, a short uppercut.
Luigi has a new side tilt, which appears to be faster than his previous one.
Luigi's Super Jump Punch sweetspot now uses the new "Power Hit" effect.
