Pokémon Trainer is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It was confirmed as playable on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- The Stamina mechanic is gone, and every Pokémon can stay out indefinitely now.
- Pokémon Change can now be used in the air, and is much quicker.
- Squirtle appears to have a new dash animation that involves riding a water wave.
- Charizard's side special, Rock Smash, has been replaced with Flare Blitz., as in Super Smash Bros. 4
