Pokémon Trainer is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They were confirmed as playable on June 12th, 2018.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. Brawl

  • Buff The Stamina mechanic is gone, and every Pokémon can stay out indefinitely now.
  • Buff Pokémon Change can now be used in the air, and is much quicker.
  • Change Squirtle appears to have a new dash animation that involves riding a water wave.
  • Change Charizard's side special, Rock Smash, has been replaced with Flare Blitz.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

These changes only affect Charizard, who was a single fighter in the previous game.
