Article on Bulbapedia Koffing (Pokémon)

Koffing (ドガース, Dogars) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise. It is a Poison-type Pokémon (#109 in the National Pokédex) that evolves into Weezing.

In Super Smash Bros.

As a Poké Ball Pokémon

Koffing is one of 13 Pokémon that can come out of a Poké Ball in this game, using Smog as its attack. Koffing releases gas from the pores on its body. Any character, other than the summoner, who touches the gas will take damage, and if they are very close to Koffing, will be trapped until it disappears.

Koffing's evolved form, Weezing, replaces it as a Poké Ball summon in Super Smash Bros. Melee with the same function.

Koffing appears as an enemy in Smash Run, behaving similar to its old role as a Poké Ball assist. It attacks with poisonous clouds which reduce the player's stats on contact.

Trophy Description

This Poison-type Pokémon's balloon-like body is filled with toxic gases. In Smash Run, it floats over to fighters and expels gas at regular intervals. If the gas touches you, the stats you've worked so hard to build will drop! Attack while it's deflated to take it down safely, and then help yourself to the many, many items it leaves behind.

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

Koffing appears as a random event in Smash Tour. It uses Smokescreen, covering the map with smoke which hides the board for one turn.
