Ashley
Ashley (アシュリー, Ashley) is a recurring character from the WarioWare series. ContentsOrigin[edit]Ashley is a young witch-in-training who lives in a haunted mansion in Diamond City, making her debut as an employee of WarioWare, Inc. in WarioWare: Touched! She is typically accompanied by her familiar, a small shape-shifting imp named Red, who commonly takes the form of her magic wand. She is depicted as aloof and studious with her magic, though her spells often backfire due to her lack of experience. She is also very quick to anger, though she otherwise shows little emotion. Despite this, her theme song reveals that she considers herself lonely, ultimately wanting to have more friends. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl[edit]Ashley's Song appears in both English and Japanese language versions on the WarioWare, Inc. stage. Ashley also appears as a sticker in this game. Sticker[edit]
In Super Smash Bros. 4[edit]As an Assist Trophy[edit]When summoned, Ashley conjures up a cloud with an area of effect using Red's wand form. Any enemies caught in the cloud will move slowly and take damage; a variety of other random effects can also occur, such as characters becoming invisible, food damaging fighters instead of healing them, and even making recovery moves unable to work and instead causing helplessness. In the Wii U version, Ashley's hair and eyes turn white and red respectively when she conjures the cloud. Unlike her appearance in the WarioWare games, she does not have any voice clips. In Smash Tour[edit]Ashley's trophy appears as a blue item that can be used by the player to reduce the speed of the spinner, allowing the user to more easily roll a specific number. As a costume[edit]![]() A Mii Swordfighter dressed as Ashley. A costume for Mii Swordfighters based on Ashley was released on February 3rd, 2016 as part of the final wave of downloadable content. Outside of her above appearances, Ashley's Song reappears as music in both versions of Smash 4, as music on WarioWare Inc. in the 3DS version and music on Gamer in the Wii U version. While both English and Japanese versions are available on Gamer, only one variant is available on WarioWare, depending on the region. Trophy[edit]Ashley's trophy appears in both versions. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U it is part of the WarioWare, Inc. Trophy Box.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]As an Assist Trophy[edit]Ashley returns as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, functioning identically to her Smash 4 appearance. She is sporting her pure red eyes from WarioWare Gold as opposed to pitch black ones from Game & Wario, though she retains her dark leggings, outfit and shoes from the latter. Training Mode describes her Assist Trophy with the following: Creates a cursed zone of darkness. Unable to be KO'd. She cannot be summoned in 3D Land, Arena Ferox, Brinstar, Cloud Sea of Alrest, Corneria, Dream Land, Garden of Hope, Jungle Japes, Magicant, Mario Circuit, Paper Mario, PictoChat 2, Reset Bomb Forest, Skyloft, Spiral Mountain, Spirit Train, Super Mario Maker, The Great Cave Offensive, Tortimer Island, and Wrecking Crew. As a costume[edit]Ashley's outfit for Mii Swordfighters also returns, being purchasable from the shop in the base game. Spirit[edit]Ashley also appears as a neutral spirit with 13,700 power in World of Light, where she is fought as a Mii Swordfighter in the Ashley outfit and wig. In the battle, Ashley can appear as a hostile Assist Trophy, left and right controls reverse, and magic attacks aren’t very effective against the enemy. During the battle, the player must first fight a tiny red Ridley, which is a reference to Ashley’s familiar, Red. Ashley, as a spirit, is a Legend-class support spirit. She has a cost of 2 slots and her trait is that she increases the player's Final Smash Meter charge rate.
