Mii Fighter (Miiファイター, Mii Fighter) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They were confirmed as playable characters on June 12th, 2018 with their Brawler, Swordfighter, and Gunner variants returning.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

Aesthetics

  • Change As with all veterans returning from SSB4, the Mii Fighters' models feature more subdued color schemes.
  • Change Players can customize the Mii Fighter's voice clips. Up to 12 voices are selectable.
  • Change All three types of Mii Fighter have had their body proportions adjusted.
  • Change While still based off default Miis, each Mii Fighter has an altered appearance.
  • Change The default outfits for the Mii Fighters have significantly more detail.
    • Change Mii Swordfighters now have sheaths on their backs.

Mii Brawler

  • Change The Brawler's default outfit features a stylised shirt with extra padding on their forearms and shins.
  • Change The Mii Brawler now has a flaming uppercut with an explosion at the end, dealing five hits in total. The move resembles Ultimate Uppercut; however, it is currently unclear if it is the same move or an entirely different one.
  • Change The Mii Brawler now has a counter. After being hit, the Mii Brawler will grab the opponent before throwing the victim on the ground behind them.
  • Buff Soaring Axe Kick's animation has been altered, and appears to be performed faster.

Mii Swordfighter

  • Change The Swordfighter's default outfit is now a tunic, with additional armor pieces and a sheath.
  • Change The Mii Swordfighter now has a move resembling Power Thrust, but with a slightly different animation. As of now, it is unclear if it is the same move or an entirely different one.
  • Change Blurring Blade now has a flame effect and ends in an upward slash, rather than a thrust.

Mii Gunner

  • Change The Gunner's default outfit is now a bodysuit with a character-colored jacket and boots.
  • Change The Mii Gunner has a different idle animation.
  • Change The Mii Gunner's pummel is a knee strike, rather than an arm cannon bash.

Trivia

  • It is currently unknown whether their special moves are editable. However it is very likely as moves resembling Power Thrust and Blade Counter are shown in the Nintendo Direct, and a move resembling Slash Launcher is shown in their showcase video.
