Big Battlefield (大戦場, Large Battlefield) is a stage exclusive to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. It was revealed in the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: 50-Fact Extravaganza presentation.

Stage overview[edit]

Big Battlefield is, as its name implies, a bigger version of Battlefield, specifically designed for 8-Player Smash. With respect to the original stage, the main platform is wider and there are six floating platforms instead of three, arranged in a pyramid formation. While it is designed for more than four players, Big Battlefield is available in normal Smash matches as well.

Big Battlefield shares all of Battlefield's My Music tracks.

Ω form[edit]

Big Battlefield's Ω form is exactly identical to Battlefield's.

Tournament legality[edit]

Big Battlefield is banned from tournaments, the reason being that it is simply too big for a normal match; faster characters can abuse the size of the stage to run away and win by Time out. Additionally, the platform layout allows Circle Camping. However, the stage's size can be considered acceptable for 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 matches.

Trivia[edit]

  • This stage is one of three to share its music with another stage, the other two being Pirate Ship and Super Mario Maker.
    • Of those three, it is the only one that is part of the base game rather than being DLC.
    • It is also the only one to take music from one stage, as opposed to multiple stages.
