New Donk City Hall (ニュードンク市庁舎, New Donk City Hall) is a playable stage that appears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It takes place around New Donk City, part of the Metro Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey. During the flight of the stage, members of The Super Mario Players and Pauline appear on floating platforms. If they are tagged by the players, they can add extra instrument parts and eventually vocals to "Jump Up, Super Star!". The Odyssey also appears flying in the background of the stage.
Origin
In Super Mario Odyssey, the Metro Kingdom is one of the kingdoms Mario and Cappy visited, where New Donk City resides with Pauline as the mayor. The duo starts off in a rainy New Donk City, as a Mechawiggler has taken control of the city's electricity, reigning over the city hall. Pauline, upon seeing her old friend visiting, asks Mario to take care of the creature, which he does, and returns New Donk City to its bright and dry self. One of the missions involve gathering up members of The Super Mario Players for the New Donk City Festival at the New Donk City Hall, where the stage primarily takes place.
