The editor who added this tag believes this page should be cleaned up for the following reason: "Home to" section of infobox. All of them have appeared in Mario Kart games, yes, but who appears here in Classic? That's who should be there.

Mario Circuit is a playable stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It has a simple layout, with one base platform that extends all the way off the stage, and three floating platforms above it, arranged in a trapezoid shape. Attackable Shy Guys will drive past the stage occasionally on the lower road from the front and on the ramps, damaging players, similar to the Mute City stage from Super Smash Bros. Melee. Additionally, the screen in the background will show the location of the Shy Guys on the circuit, making it possible to avoid the racers. The Shy Guys can be hit.

Interestingly, there are graphics for the entire track. Visuals are inaccessible, even when pausing and changing the camera angle.

This was the last stage that was first shown in trailers to be confirmed on the DOJO!!. Over a year has passed since its initial revelation, making Mario Circuit the stage with the longest duration between its trailer and DOJO!! confirmations.

Trivia

  • The Mario Circuit in Super Smash Bros. Brawl bears a striking resemblance of the Figure-8 Circuit from Mario Kart DS, as well as the course layout for Toad's Turnpike, way back in Mario Kart 64. Also, Shy Guys were available in Download Play, making the entire race look like a massive Mario Kart DS download play mode.
  • Although you usually take damage, you can effect the way the race turns out. If you attack or fling yourself in front of anyone except the Shy Guy in the lead, the leading Shy Guy could get so far ahead, that as it flies over the stage, the others are coming bellow it. It takes awhile, but is rather neat.
  • When a Shy Guy is hit by you, it spins out until it is off screen, meaning if you hit one on the far right side of the stage, it will spin out until it goes off screen on the left side.
  • The design of the screen in the background is based on the map that was displayed on the Touch Screen during races in Mario Kart DS. Pressing the Y button gave you this view, along with the location and position of every racer. All these features are retained here.
  • Many elements of the background scenery are borrowed from levels in the 2D platforming series. The tall mushrooms hail from Super Mario Bros, the giant multicoloured blocks are commonly found in SMB3 and the oddly-shaped trees come from World 1 of New Super Mario Bros.
  • IF The Ice Climbers use their Final smash called Iceberg on this Level, The carts will go right through the iceberg.
