Palutena (パルテナ, Palutena) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, officially confirmed on June 12th, 2018.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

Aesthetics

• The design of her skirt matches the 1.0.6. censored version of her model in the Japanese version of SSB4 only.

Special Moves

• Palutena's Custom Move, Explosive Flame, is now her side special move.
• Her down special can now function as both Counter and Reflect Barrier. If she's near the enemy, counter activates; if she's far from the enemy with latter using projectiles, reflect barrier activates.
  • Reflect Barrier has much quicker start-up.
• Forward and up tilt move significantly faster with flashy new motion effects.
