Although initially disbanded after defeating Giovanni, the team would later return in the sequel games Pokémon Gold and Silver, where the team resurfaces and attempts to reach out to Giovanni to rejoin the team, and also operates at the Slowpoke Well and takes over the radio tower in Goldenrod City.
