Weekly Smash Party ~Sumapa~ (スマパ！), often stylized as simply Weekly Smash Party or Sumapa, is a tournament series held in Tokyo, Japan, at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere Tokyo. Tournaments were held for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Super Smash Bros. prior to the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where they are currently held on Wednesdays. Tournaments are streamed on YouTube through East Geek Smash and on Twitch through VGBootCamp, who also uploads the VODs on their YouTube channel.
Weekly Smash Party is often considered one of the most difficult weeklies in competitive-Smash, as many of the best players in the Kantō region frequent the event. This has led some to joke that these events could be considered nationals, or even majors, if they were eligible for the rankings; this joke has been backed up with several special events becoming B+ tier.
