From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Kuro (クロ) is a Smasher from Kantō. He began competing in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, initially as a Pit player. He was considered the second-best Pit in Japan, after Earth, and with the character was best known for placing 7th at Umebura S.A.T., where he defeated 9B, T, and Eim, becoming the second Pit player to place top 8 at a major; he was also known in Japan for his performances at Karisuma Tokaigi Qualifiers and Sumabato 16, among other strong superregional placements. He eventually dropped Pit for Fox and became known as the best Fox player from Japan in the game's later years, especially following his 7th-place finish at Umebura 29 and his Losers run at Sumabato Tokaigi Qualifier 2, which includes wins over Shuton and Raito. Though he rarely traveled overseas, his performances in Japan led him to rank 97th on the PGR 100.
Kuro is better known for his performances in the early metagame of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where he was one of the best Zero Suit Samus players of the era. He became known outside of Japan for winning Umebura SP 6 as the 37th seed by defeating KEN, Umeki, and kameme twice, among other top Japanese players, becoming the only Zero Suit Samus other than Marss to win an Ultimate major. He was eventually ranked 18th on the Fall 2019 PGRU and 44th on the full-year ranking OrionRank 2019, though retrospective rankings consider him a top 30 player for the entire year. Admist Zero Suit Samus's decline in the early-2020s, Kuro eventually switched to Mr. Game & Watch, but by then he had become less active, and he eventually stopped competing by the end of 2024.
