From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Gackt (がくと) is a Japanese smasher who has been active in Smash since 2005.[1] He is known for his Ness across two different Smash titles.
Though active in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Gackt first became known in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, where he was considered Japan's best Ness player and was infamous for his PK Thunder 2 reads. Though inconsistent throughout his career, he was known for many great performances such as his run to 5th at Umebura 14, defeating Abadango at Rikabura 8, and defeating Tsu at Umebura 28. Internationally, he became known for placing 17th at The Big House 7, where he defeated ANTi, Mistake, and Locus. Though he was never ranked on a global ranking, many players considered him one of the best Smash 4 Ness players in the world, especially in the game's final year.
Gackt continued to main Ness in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where he became the best Ness player in the world almost immediately, with several top 8 performances in the early metagame. His success continued in the post-pandemic metagame, and although his performances were often inconsistent, conversely he is known for having Ness's best peaks, including placing 3rd at Kagaribi 7, Maesuma TOP 12, and S Factor 11. He was ranked in the top 100 for several years, peaking at 23rd on the LumiRank 2024.1. As such, he is widely considered to be the greatest Ultimate Ness player of all time.
Playstyle[edit]
Gackt relies on both PK Thunder and PK Fire to create mindgames and devastating ledgetraps, allowing him to apply constant pressure and close out stocks quickly. He often uses aggressive aerials alongside PSI Magnet and Ness's down tilt to get in and break his opponent's defense.

- Gackt has an alter-ego called Meister G(マイスターG), a top-level Ness player created and portrayed by himself. He wears sunglasses and a jacket with no shirts whenever he shows up in his livestream.
- Meister G claims that Gackt is his younger brother. He gets angry when someone talks as if they are the same person.
- His unique way of talking and sarcastic attitude has gained him a lot of fans, to the point that he is now one of the most popular Smash livestreamers in Japan.
