Yone_pi is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Pichu player from Kansai, Japan, considered one of the best Pichu players in the post-pandemic metagame, alongside NaetorU, and the best from Japan after Nietono dropped the character. He began competing in 2022 and found decent success at smaller events in the following 2 years before breaking out onto the scene in 2024 following several high performances. These performances include his run at Sumabato SP 47, where he eliminated Miya and finished 7th, and 9th-place finishes at Sumabato SP 45 and UltCore Third, notably defeating Snow in the latter. These results led him to rank 57th on the LumiRank 2024.1, making him the highest-ranking solo-Pichu player since the early metagame. Since then, Yone_pi's results have been considered some of the best since the early metagame, including becoming the first solo-Pichu player to top 8 a supermajor since that metagame, at Sumabato SP 52, and being the runner-up at the A tier event Sumabato SP 56 and the invitational Cafeteria Cup: Candy, defeating MkLeo, Asimo, and KEN at the latter event.
