Sumabato SP 60 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate major tournament held in Daito City, Osaka Prefecture, on July 13th, 2025.
Tournament summary[edit]
Though upset early by #62 seed SUZUNE 1-3 (upset factor 9, the largest at the event), #3 seed Lv.1 was able to match his seed after going on a lengthy 10-set Losers run, defeating players such as Yone_pi 3-2, Asimo 3-2, uame 3-0, Kaninabe 3-1, and Yoshidora 3-1. This run tied Lv.1's performance at Maesuma TOP 15 "FINAL" and Sumabato SP 58 for the highest major placement from a Toon Link player.
Eliminating Lv.1 in Losers Finals was #18 seed Furararamen, who defeated Lv.1 3-2 using Mr. Game & Watch in the first three games and Isabelle in the last two (an upset factor of 6). Furararamen himself was on a historic run, having used Isabelle for most of his run prior to top 8, aside from his set against Asimo, which he won 3-1 with Mr. Game & Watch (upset factor 7). After defeating #26 seed Crete, he became the first Isabelle player to enter top 8 on the Winners side, and continued his Winners run by defeating #14 seed Kaninabe 3-1. Furararamen ultimately lost to Raru twice, first in Winners Finals and then in Grand Finals, losing both sets in a 3-0 fashion. Nevertheless, Furararamen's performance at this event is considered the greatest Isabelle performance at a major, and is the closest an Isabelle player has come to winning a major.
Only 4 top 8 seeds were able to make it into top 8. Aside from Asimo, who was eliminated at 13th, the other seeds were #4 seed KEN, who was eliminated at 9th after losing to #12 seed Gorioka 1-3 and #11 seed uame 2-3; #5 seed Rarikkusu, who was eliminated at 25th after losing to #28 seed Saya 1-3 (upset factor 5) and and #21 seed Kome 2-3 (upset factor 4); and #7 seed Mild na H.O, who was also eliminated at 25th after losing to Crete 2-3 (upset factor 4) and #57 seed Yoshiten 2-3 (upset factor 6).
