From SmashWiki, the Super Smash Bros. wiki
Toriguri, sometimes shortened to TG, (TG(トリグリ)) is a Japanese Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Banjo & Kazooie player who is considered the best Banjo & Kazooie player of all time and is currently ranked 47th on the UltRank 2025. Initially known as a successful player in Japan's online scene, he broke out in the offline scene with his 9th-place finish at the Golden Week supermajor Maesuma TOP 12 with wins over MuteAce, Ron, and Umeki. His results would continue to improve throughout 2023, culminating in his run at Maesuma TOP 14 where he became the first and only solo-Banjo & Kazooie player to place top 8 at a major. In 2024 he found greater recognition internationally thanks to his 5th-place run at Battle of BC 6 where he dominantly 3-0d MkLeo, as well as his runs at Kagaribi 12 and GENESIS X2, where he upset Sparg0 at both events. In addition, Toriguri has also defeated players such as Zomba at Battle of BC 7. These performances led many to consider Toriguri one of the best "mid-tier heroes" in Ultimate and sparked discussion over Banjo & Kazooie's true potential.
