DELTA x Seibugeki Open was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate supermajor held in Minato, Tokyo, Kantō from April 18th-19th, 2026.

Tournament Summary

This event became known for being #34 seed F1re's cinderella run and marking his best performance to that point. Entering into Top 48, F1re would upset #2 seed Miya with a clean 3-0 and then proceeded to upset Akakikusu and Shuton to make Top 8. In Winner's Semi-finals, F1re would then defeat Raru's Min Min and Luigi 3-0 before falling to Carmelo. F1re would then win against Shuton once more to meet Carmelo in Grands. While F1re was poised to make a bracket reset (even being up 2-1 in the set), Carmelo would adapt and win in a close game 5 set.

As a result, Carmelo would win his first undisputed supermajor and his second major in a row. His path to victory was notable as aside from notching wins on Tea and Yaura, Carmelo would also cleanly sweep #1 seed acola in the Steve mirror (continuing acola's loss streak in the Steve mirror). While his tournament attendance had been low to that point, many began considering Carmelo as a potential frontrunner for the #1 spot behind Hurt and Sonix.

Shuton continued his streak of strong performances. After losing to F1re, Shuton would defeat Harupoyo 3-1 (who notably took a game off of Shuton with Ganondorf after switching from Steve) and Nyonoknb 3-1 to face off against acola. For the first time since Scuffed World Tour in December of 2022, and after 8 consecutive set losses to him, Shuton would finally claim victory after a close game 5 set. Additionally, with Shuton eliminating Miya for 4th, this tournament ended his streak of making Grand Finals at every DELTA tournament he entered since DELTA 7 FAT.
