- An unknown spectator threw a dead crab at Hungrybox at the end of Grand Finals. This caused a massive backlash on Twitter where many people stated their disgust towards the spectator. The spectator had since been identified and banned from attending any future tournaments such as Smash 'N' Splash 5 [1].
- The crab itself, humorously, had its own seat prior to being thrown. It also became a running joke within Hungrybox's fans.
- ESAM only lost to Peach mains in singles and Squad Strike, as well as losing the money match against Samsora 1-10.
- This is the first Melee doubles tournament that PewFat has lost since EGLX 2018.
