Sephiroth is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed as a playable character on December 10th, 2020 at the 2020 Game Awards and will be released in December 2020.

Trivia

• Sephiroth is the second character to be revealed at a non-Nintendo event/presentation, the first being Joker. Coincidentally, both of them were revealed at the Game Awards (in 2018 and 2020 respectively).
• Sephiroth is the fourth character with an existing English voice actor to be voiced in Japanese in all regions, the first three being Mewtwo, Cloud, and [[Hero}|the Luminary]].
