Now You're Playing with Portable Power! was a Spirit Board event focused on spirits that debuted on the Game Boy or Game Boy Color. It ran from 6 a.m. on September 25, 2020 to 6 a.m. on September 28, 2020 (UTC), and was repeated on the following dates:

  • 6 a.m. on April 22, 2022 to 6 a.m. on April 25, 2022 (UTC)
  • 6 a.m. on April 21, 2023 to 6 a.m. on April 24, 2023 (UTC)

During the event, defeating spirits on the Spirit Board which were part of the event awarded more Gold than usual.

Trivia[edit]

  • Similarly to Classics! in PAL regions (known as "Now You're Playing With Spirit Power!"), the event's title references the Game Boy's slogan used by American commercials, "Now you're playing with portable power!", which was a modified version of the Nintendo Entertainment System's slogan, "Now you're playing with power!".
  • In contrast to other Spirit Board events based on a specific console (such as Classics! and Get N or Get Out), the majority of spirits included in this event use artwork that are not used for Game Boy games. Of the 33 spirits included in the event, only 12 of them use artwork originally used for a Game Boy game.
