Charizard, known in Japan as Lizardon (リザードン, Rizādon), has been confirmed to return as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. 4. Unlike in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where it was used as one of Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon, it now appears as a stand-alone character.
