(The) Aegis, or Pythra, is a collective term that refers to the following characters:
Due to these characters being each others' semi-clones that are paired together by a swapping mechanic in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there are many situations in which players will often collectively refer to them, such as in tier list or matchup discussions. "(The) Aegis" is their title in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and is more frequently used by players who have played Xenoblade Chronicles 2, while "Pythra" is a portmanteau of their names and is more frequently used by players who have never played Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
