Low Tide City 2021 was a Super Smash Bros. regional, a Super Smash Bros. Melee super regional, and a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate supermajor held in Round Rock, Texas from October 1st-3rd, 2021. In addition to Super Smash Bros., the event also ran tournaments for Guilty Gear Strive, Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Mortal Kombat 11. The event was a collaboration with Riptide and Austin Smash, and was the first ever Texas waterpark esports event.
Events for Project+, Beyond Melee and Smash Remix were planned, with Smash Remix even planning to add a custom stage to the mod for the event.[1] However, in a similar manner to Riptide, these were cancelled at the request of Nintendo.[2] A separate Project+ event was held in place of the original event.
