Reset Bomb Forest (初期化爆弾の森 Initialization Bomb Forest) is a stage in the Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. 4. It is based on Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Overview

The stage begins in a castle-like area with two main platforms that are separated by a pit, which has a wooden soft platform in the middle to decrease the danger of early KOs. Above and to the right of it are two similar platforms, one above the other. After an unknown period of time, Viridi appears in the distance, dropping a massive Reset Bomb in the background. The explosion engulfs the stage, destroying the castle and creating a white flash. In the aftermath, the players are inside the titular forest that the bomb created, and what appears to be the ruins of the castle can be used as erratic platforms. The stage appears to scroll slowly to the right, and a Lurchthorn can be seen flying near the lower blast line, presumably hurting players that touch it. It is currently unknown if the scrolling ceases, or if the players are eventually returned to the original castle.

Origin

During the tenth chapter of Kid Icarus: Uprising, the evil god of the underworld, Hades, seeking to obtain as many souls as possible for his own power, sparks a war between human forces over the Wish Seed, which he claims to be able to grant wishes but actually has no power whatsoever. During the following chapter, Pit and Palutena attempt to intervene. The war is interrupted when an unexpected third party, the Goddess of Nature, Viridi, drops a "Reset Bomb" on the humans in retaliation for their disturbing the delicate balance of nature with their wars and conflicts. The bomb annihilates both armies and causes a warped forest to grow over their battlefield, returning the human city to a more natural state as Viridi intended.
