A stage prefix is the prefix of a stage's name. The stage prefix was introduced in Super Smash Bros. Melee, which used the locations of the stages. Super Smash Bros. Brawl and subsequent games instead use game or series designations for stages. There are no stage prefixes in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.

The following is a list of stage prefixes in Melee, Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
