Bewear (キテルグマ, Kiteruguma) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon series.

Origin

Bewear is a Normal/Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #760 as the "Strong Arm Pokémon". It evolves from Stufful starting at level 27. While kind and affectionate, it is also very dangerous, as its hugs are strong enough to break a person's spine. Notably, a Bewear is prominently featured in the Sun and Moon animated series, in which she acts as a self-appointed caregiver for the Team Rocket trio, such as always being there to rescue them after their confrontations with the protagonists.

Trivia

  • Bewear's pose when summoned from a Poké Ball resembles its pose in its official artwork from Pokémon Sun and Moon.
  • Despite not being capable of learning Sky Uppercut, Bewear's attack highly resembles that move's depiction in the Pokémon anime.
