==Character description==
Riki is the resident Heropon of Frontier Village. The Elder, Dunga, reveals that this position has very little to do with Riki's worth, but as payment for a large number of debts Riki and his family have accrued. He is forced into Shulk's party as a matter of helping him and Melia fight the Telethia. His fighting style is based on Arts capable of inflicting several negative status conditions to the opponents.

Riki is a very childish character. He speaks in a largely childish matter, and has very little bearing on the plot at large. However, he is a devoted follower of Shulk and Melia, and is a competent fighter when he needs to be. A conversation in ''Xenoblade Chronicles'' reveals that he is actually 40 years old, and has a wife and eleven children.

When he actually participates in combat, Riki plays as a thief-mage combination, with the main ability of being able to occasionally steal stats, health or even experience from opponents, along with being able to cause status affects quickly against many opponents. As a result, he deals less damage head-on, but much more damage over time, and he is able to use his many status-inducing moves to interrupt enemy Arts in order to keep his team safe while softening tougher foes with damage over time. He also has the ability to keep the party healthy, possessing a healing move, a skill to increase the party gauge, along with one to keep the group's tension high. These factors, along with his surprisingly high hit points (having the highest health pool of Shulk's party members, with Reyn being second), gives him a very good role as a supporting character to make battles easier.

Riki (リキ, Riki) is a character from the Xenoblade universe. He is a Nopon and the supposed "Heropon" from his culture's prophecies, and one of Shulk's party members.

In Super Smash Bros. 4

Riki appears both as an Assist Trophy and part of Shulk's Final Smash. All of his voice clips are directly ripped from Xenoblade Chronicles. Upon being summoned, Riki will announce "Leave it to Heropon!", and once his time is up, he disappears while saying "All go to plan!"

As an Assist Trophy

Riki stands in place and randomly uses three of the following Arts:

  • Happy Happy raises the launch and attack power of all fighters. Riki announces "Happy, happy time!" when using it.
  • Freezinate can freeze nearby opponents. Riki will announce "F-f-f-Freezinate!" while using it.
  • Yoink! pulls items close to Riki. Riki giggles before saying the name of the Art.
  • Bedtime puts opponents to sleep. Riki says "Sleepy, sleepy... bedtime!" while using it.
  • You Can Do It heals all fighters. Riki announces the Art's name while doing so.
  • Roly Poly trips opponents if they're on the ground. Riki says the line "Roly, poly, keep on rolling!" while doing so.

In Shulk's Final Smash

Riki appears in Shulk's Final Smash. He is summoned alongside Dunban to use a Chain Attack on the trapped opponent, before Shulk sends the foe flying. In this Chain Attack, Riki's appears to use his Lurgy Art.

In Smash Tour

Riki appears as a blue item: when selected, it draws all nearby items to the user as they walk.

As a costume

Shulk's yellow costume is based on Riki's color scheme.

If you summon him in this game, he'll use Arts to knock over your foes, freeze them, and even send them to sleep. Riki can also heal you, but if he does, he'll heal everyone else too!
