Battlefield (also known as the Fighting Polygon stage) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. home to the Fighting Polygons in 1-Player mode. Battlefield is a simple three-platform stage with a long solid landmass below. Legally playable remakes of Battlefield have appeared in sequels to this game. Super Smash Bros. Melee (see Special Stages: Battlefield) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl (see Battlefield (SSBB)). It also resembles Dream Land from Super Smash Bros. It is overall smaller than the Melee version but doesn't have the gimpy ledges. It also has a higher ceiling than its Melee counterpart. Overall though, the stage is mid-sized and would probably be used in both singles and doubles if the stage were available for versus play. The only way to use the stage for a multiplayer match is through hacking.
