- There are several fighters who attack with their bodies in special moves that are not playable in this tourney, including Dr. Mario (Dr. Tornado), Diddy Kong (Monkey Flip), Meta Knight (Mach Tornado and Drill Rush), Wolf (Wolf Flash), Squirtle (Withdraw), Charizard (Flare Blitz), Wii Fit Trainer (Super Hoop), King K. Rool (Gut Check), Joker (Rebel's Guard), Terry (all of them except Power Wave), and Hero (Kamikazee and Magic Burst).
- In Squirtle and Charizard's case, this is due to them being tied to Pokémon Trainer and sharing a character slot with Ivysaur, who does not use its body in any of its special moves.
