Gardevoir (サーナイト, Sirnight) is a creature from the Pokémon series. It appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. 4 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

bulbapedia is a Psychic-type support move: it creates a barrier which protects the ally team, reducing the damage received from physical attacks for five turns. Gardevoir can learn Reflect with bulbapedia in every game where both are available.
Gardevoir debuted with the other 3rd Generation of Pokémon, and is the third and final evolution of the Ralts family. Gardevoir has feminine appearance, however a Gardevoir can be male. Gardevoir cares for its trainer and displays great loyalty towards them.

In the anime, a bounty hunter named J kidnapped a Gardevoir from another trainer named Melodi. Melodi's Gardevoir used Teleport to save Ash and Team Rocket from J's ship. When the fourth generation of Pokémon was introduced, the trainer had the option of evolving a male Kirlia into a more masculine, battle-ready warrior Pokémon called Gallade instead of Gardevoir.
Gardevoir has two different voice clips in Brawl, with one in the Japanese version and another in non-Japanese versions. In Smash 4, Gardevoir got unique German and French voice clips to accompany the ones from Brawl. All of these are used in Ultimate.

When called from a Poké Ball, Gardevoir creates a circular barrier (called "Reflect") that is impenetrable to thrown objects and projectile attacks. Characters (regardless of whether they're the summoner or the opponents) can easily walk into and out of the force field while Gardevoir is out. Gardevoir and its attached force field walk across the stage from end to end for about 15 seconds.

When called from a Poké Ball, Gardevoir encircles itself in a large barrier ("Reflect"), which reflects all opposing projectiles. As the barrier causes no damage in itself, characters are free to continue play within it, though any enemy projectiles used inside will instantly reflect and damage the user. Gardevoir will slowly walk across the stage from end to end for about 15 seconds. Interestingly, it can't reflect Hotheads, but it can detonate Snake's down smash.

Gardevoir's reflector doubles the damage, speed, and knockback of anything thrown at it, and it can even detonate Snakes Land Mines if he doesn't release Gardevoir.

Gardevoir's reflect is the most powerful in the game, so powerful, in fact, that it can reflect some final smashes. Gardevoir will fully reflect some, for others, if Gardevoir is yours, someone else uses a final smash, and hit someone else with said final smash, and they are hit while in Gardevoir's reflector, you will get the credit for the kill. Here is a list of characters Gardevoir can reflect.

Gardevoir (サーナイト, Sirnight) is a creature from the Pokémon series. It appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. 4 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Origin[edit]

Gardevoir is a Psychic type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, who gained the Fairy type in Generation VI. It is listed in the Pokédex at #282 as the "Embrace Pokémon". Like most Psychic types, it focuses on Special stats. With the introduction of Gallade in Generation IV, Gardevoir is one of two final forms of Ralts, and it can Mega Evolve. It is notably the main Pokémon used by Wally in the original Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald and by Diantha in Pokémon X and Y. Gardevoir and Gallade also have an apparent futuristic relative known as Iron Valiant, a Paradox Pokémon that debuted in Pokémon Violet.

Reflect is a Psychic-type support move: it creates a barrier which protects the ally team, reducing the damage received from physical attacks for five turns. Gardevoir can learn Reflect with TM33 in every game where both are available.

Gardevoir has two different voice clips in Brawl, with one in the Japanese version and another in non-Japanese versions. In Smash 4, Gardevoir got unique German and French voice clips to accompany the ones from Brawl. All of these are used in Ultimate.

When called from a Poké Ball, Gardevoir encircles itself in a large barrier ("Reflect"), which reflects all opposing projectiles. Gardevoir will slowly walk across the stage from end to end for about 15 seconds. Interestingly, it can't reflect Hotheads, but it can detonate Snake's down smash.
