COLOSSEL 2022 is an ongoing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate supermajor held in Lyon, France, from July 2nd-3rd, 2022. The tournament was originally set to take place from July 11th-12th, 2020, as a Gold-tier stop on the Smash World Tour 2020. However, the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At 1,024 entrants, this is the first European Smash tournament to surpass the 1,000 entrants mark, making Europe the third region to surpass this milestone; likewise, it is also the largest European Smash tournament of all time, surpassing Albion 4's record from 3 years prior. The tournament is also a Gold-tier stop on the Smash World Tour 2022.

- On July 2nd, a Nintendo Switch was found with the launch rate set to 0.8.[3] Afterwards on July 3rd, the entire singles bracket on start.gg was reset, undoing all of the pools results up to Top 128.[4]
- This tournaments marks Maister's first offline set win over MkLeo, with MkLeo having won their past 17 consecutive sets.
