Giratina (ギラティナ, Giratina) is a fictional creature from the Pokémon series.
Origin
Giratina is a Ghost/Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation IV, and is a member of the Creation Trio of Sinnoh along with Dialga and Palkia. It is the version mascot of Pokémon Platinum. Giratina represents antimatter, and lives in the Distortion World. It has two Formes: the Origin Forme, which it can assume only in the Distortion World or when holding a Griseous Orb, and the Altered Forme, under which it appears in SSB4. In Pokémon Platinum it takes the role held by Dialga/Palkia in Pokémon Diamond/Pearl respectively: Team Galactic attempts to use its power to recreate the universe with Cyrus as a ruler; after defeating Cyrus in the Distortion World the player has a chance to catch Giratina.

When summoned it attacks three times, breathing out a large vortex which damages enemies for 2% while carrying them away, similarly to Mario Finale. It can turn around before attacking if no enemies are in front of it. Touching Giratina's body deals 12% damage with weak diagonal knockback. Giratina appears in Super Smash Bros. 4 as a Poké Ball and Master Ball summon.
