Trivia[edit]
- COLOSSEL 2022 faced a few notable technical difficulties:
- During pools, a Nintendo Switch was found with the launch rate set to 0.8.[3]
- The night before top 128, the entire singles bracket on start.gg was reset, undoing all of the pools results.[4] With help from SmashExplorer, the bracket was back to normal in time for top 128 to start on time.[5]
- Although quiK was up a stock, the final game of the set between him and Bloom4Eva was reset due to controller issues. Bloom4Eva eventually won the game, eliminating quiK.
- This tournament marked Maister's first offline set win over MkLeo, with MkLeo having won their past 17 consecutive sets.
- This tournament marked the highest placement for a Bayonetta and Lucas player at a major, with Bloom4Eva and Nitox placing 4th and 9th, respectively
- This tournament featured a heavily anticipated set between Leon and LeoN, both of whom were supposed to fight in exhibition matches at both Temple: Hermès Edition and Kings of Fields 95; both of these matches were eventually cancelled, due to logistical issues for the former and travel issues for the latter. Leon ultimately won the set 3-2 while reverse 3-0ing LeoN and ending the set with a 3-stock.
