Gardevoir (サーナイト, Sānaito, Sirnight in Japanese language versions) is a creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Gardevoir is an adult-sized, humanlike Pokemon with a feminine appearance (though it can be male). Debuting with the 3rd generation of Pokémon, it is the third and final evolution of the Ralts family.

According to Pokédex information, it apparently does not feel the pull of gravity because it supports itself with its psychic powers, and with its psychokinetic powers it can distort the dimensions and create a small black hole, as well as see into the future. Gardevoir cares for its trainer and displays great loyalty towards them, entirely willing to protect them even at the risk of its own life. If it senses impending danger its trainer (with its power of foresight), it will unleash its psychokinetic energy at full power.

In the anime, a bounty hunter named J kidnapped a Gardevoir from another trainer named Melodi. Melodi's Gardevoir used Teleport to save Ash and Team Rocket from J's ship. When the fourth generation of Pokémon was introduced, the trainer had the option of evolving a male Kirlia into a more masculine, battle-ready warrior Pokémon called Gallade instead of Gardevoir.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Poké Ball

When called from a Poké Ball, Gardevoir surrounds itself in a medium sized circular barrier (called "Reflect") reflects all enemy projectiles. As the barrier causes no damage in itself, characters are free continue play within it, though any projectiles used from within will be immediately reflected and damage the user. Gardevoir will slowly hover across the stage from end to end for about 15 seconds.

Dedede - Waddle Dees and Doos are reflected while airborne. Otherwise, they will walk through the reflector. Waddle Dees and Doos are also reflected while jumping. Gordos are always reflected.

Gardevoir's Reflect

Gardevoir's reflect is the most powerful in the game, doubling a projectile's damage, speed, and knockback. Interestingly, it can even detonate Snake's Down smash. Its reflector is also effective against certain final smashes, and the user may even receive credit for another player's KO, if the victim is inside the barrier when certain Final Smashes KO them.

Mario - Usually Mario Finale will hit while outside Gardevoir's reflector, but the Finale is reflected if the last hit is in the reflector.

Bowser - Giga Bowser's Fire Breath can be reflected.

Diddy Kong - Peanuts fired from Rocketbarrel Barrage can be fully reflected.

Yoshi - The Super Dragon's fireballs and fire breath can be reflected.

Shiek/Zelda - The Light Arrow will act like the Mario Finale does.

Samus - The blast is reflected if the last hit of the Zero Laser hits.

Ice Climbers - The Iceberg will not freeze the character, but one still takes damage.

ROB - Reflects some of the frames of his Diffusion Beam back at him.

Olimar - Reflects the exhaust from his End of Day ship. May also reflect the explosion, but the entire explosion needs to be inside the reflector.

Gardevoir on the Bridge of Eldin

Fox/Falco/Wolf - Reflects blasts from the Landmaster.

Pikachu - Will reflect sparks from Volt Tackle.

Pokemon Trainer - Reflects Triple Finish like the Light Arrow.

Lucario - Reflects Aura Storm like the Zero Laser.

Ness/Lucas - Reflects PK Starstorm like the Mario Finale.

Mr. Game and Watch - Reflects the rear tentacles of the Octopus.

Snake - Can reflect the grenades, but the entire explosion has to be in the reflector.

Sonic - Can reflect the Super Sonic transformation knockback. Sonic must transform in the dead center of the reflector for it to be reflected, however.

No other Final Smashes can be reflected.

As a Trophy

Glitch

When viewing the pink object in its torso at close range, from below, its torso disappears.
