The PMRank 2017 was the second annual PMRank, ranking the top 50 Project M players in the world. It was announced in a series of Smashboards articles, published from January 22nd, 2018 to January 31st, 2018.
The rankings were created by a group of a little less than 20 panelists comprising of tournament organizers, community leaders, and top players. The panelists were tasked with ranking the players on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. Initially, 77 players were qualified to be ranked, but only 50 made the final list.
