The Wi-Fi Warrior Rank v5 (WWR v5) lists the best smashers for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's online competitive scene for the first half of 2020.

Methodology

Methodology summary
Some new changes were implemented mid-season. As a result of several tournaments becoming region-locked, a new multiplier was implemented to the system specifically for those tournaments, with a x0.85 for American tournaments and x1.25 for international tournaments. Furthermore, to accommodate the increased number of players due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the rankings were extended to Top 75. Finally, the algorithm has been overhauled with losses being fully recorded, players getting points for wins on anyone in the top 250 range, and the removal of "thresholds," or the lowest possible placement at a tournament that will factor into the rankings.

Players of the Month

Beginning in the v5 season, the WWR introduced the Players of the Month, a monthly award to the top performers in online competition as voted by the WWR's X-factor panelists. Each month, three players are voted the #1, #2, and #3 players of the month, and an additional award is given to the Breakout Player, who is judged to have most improved or exceeded expectations.
