Giant Kirby is fought on Stage 5 of Adventure Mode upon the Green Greens stage and is a completely optional boss. If the player has met the requirement to battle him, a cinematic will play where he drops onto the second floating platform with a slightly deepened boing sound into a crouching state. He then quickly stands up straight and curves his neutrally positioned mouth into a small smile. The player can be seen at the lower-left region of the screen when Giant Kirby makes his entrance.
Giant Kirby is slightly larger than a regular Kirby with a Super Mushroom and is heavier and stronger than Kirby. If the player defeats Giant Kirby, they will receive the bonus Giant Kirby KO, which awards 10,000 extra points.

Giant Kirby also appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4 as a random giant opponent in Classic Mode (despite his frequent apperance on 1 player modes from Melee). In Brawl he is randomly fought on stage 5 with either Meta Knight or King Dedede fighting alongside the player. King Dedede and Meta Knight on Stage 5, also are a random giant opponent. So he is a possible giant opponent in Stage 5 on Classic Mode in Brawl; despite his frequent appearance in 1 player modes from Melee (which is on stage 5 in Adventure Mode). In both of these two installments (Brawl and Smash 4), this is his only appearance aside from being a possible giant opponent in Stage 5 on Classic Mode.
In Brawl, this may occur for Stage 5, with the player teaming up with King Dedede and Meta Knight.

In for3ds, the opponents are fully randomized, but it is possible to battle against a giant version of Kirby.

In forwiiu, Giant Kirby may appear as an intruder.

This article is about the permanently large form of Kirby that appears as a boss. For information on growing giant in normal gameplay, see Super Mushroom.

Giant Kirby is a minor boss in Super Smash Bros. Melee's Adventure Mode, as well as Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. 4's respective Classic Modes.

Overview

In Melee

Giant Kirby is fought on Stage 5 of Adventure Mode upon the Green Greens stage as an optional boss. If the player manages to defeat all of the Kirbys (including the first one who fights alone) in 31 seconds or less, a cinematic will play where Giant Kirby drops onto the second floating platform and lands crouching before standing up and smiling.

Giant Kirby is slightly larger than a regular Kirby with a Super Mushroom and is heavier and stronger than Kirby. If the player defeats Giant Kirby, they will receive the bonus Giant Kirby KO, which awards 10,000 extra points.

In Brawl and Smash 4

Kirby is one of the characters who may be encountered in a Giant Battle in Classic Mode.

In Brawl, this may occur for Stage 5, with the player teaming up with King Dedede and Meta Knight.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, the opponents are fully randomized, but it is possible to battle against a giant version of Kirby.

In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Giant Kirby may appear as an intruder.
