It was the fourth installment of the Smash Summit series for Ultimate, and was held on March 3rd-6th, 2022 at the Summit Gaming House, a private residence house in Los Angeles, California, which is closed to the general public.
After months of placing in the top 3 at majors without winning, Sparg0 finally claimed his first major victory after defeating MkLeo and Light twice in grand finals. ProtoBanham also saw an incredible run despite starting on the loser's side of the Group Stage, defeating Dabuz, Tweek, and MkLeo en route to a 3rd place finish. On the other hand, this marked the first offline singles tournament since Get On My Level 2019 where MkLeo did not make grand finals, instead placing 4th.
