Teddie (クマ, Kuma) is a character that originates from Persona 4.

Origin

Teddie is one of the playable characters in Persona 4, acting as the comic relief character of the cast and making many bear-related puns. He serves as the guide for the Investigation Team in the Midnight Channel. Before joining the player's party, he acts as support for battles, but after the party completes the Marukyu Striptease dungeon and defeating his own shadow, he becomes a playable character, using the Persona Kintoki-Douji. As well as obtaining his own Persona, Teddie also creates a human form from his own empty shell, which allows him to leave the Midnight Channel. Near the end of the game, it is revealed that Teddie was a shadow that gained his own ego so that humans would adore him.

Trivia

  • The Mii wearing the Teddie Hat seen in promotional material is sometimes seen wearing a dress. This is a reference to Teddie's cross-dressing outfit in Persona 4, based from the story Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
