Pokémon Trainer is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They were confirmed as playable on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. Brawl
- The Stamina mechanic is gone, and every Pokémon can stay out indefinitely now.
- Charizard can now use Flare Blitz, a move that was introduced in Super Smash Bros. 4
- Squirtle appears to have a new dash animation that involves riding a water wave.
Aesthetics
- Leaf, the female Pokémon Trainer from FireRed/LeafGreen, makes her first appearance as an alternate costume.
