A Borboras (ブーバス, Boobas) is a moderately common enemy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary mode, which first appears in The Plain. It has a thin body, and its head resembles a trumpet that delivers blasts of wind. It is not particularly dangerous, but it can disrupt players by generating wind that can push them into other enemies and traps. On higher difficulties (notably Intense), the strength of Borboras' wind increases to a nonsensical degree, easily able to push fighters offscreen. Players will take damage from a Borboras if they touch its head while it is blowing wind. The Borboras will attack if the player is standing next to one as it skips.

Trophy description[edit]

The Borboras trophy in Brawl.

A Subspace foe. Although humanoid in form, it's characterized by a head that resembles a wind instrument decorated on top with trumpet valves. It can be quite annoying--when it spots you, it'll blow you off balance with some serious wind from its mouth. And where does it get off, skipping around so cheerfully? I mean, who skips these days? Seriously.

Trivia[edit]

  • If a player shields when a Borboras attacks them at a certain hitbox, the player's shield will instantly break.
