Trivia[edit]
- Shroomed took shots with n0ne in the middle of his Melee singles qualifying set against Trif.[7] Despite getting tipsy, he would also end up winning the set. This continues the running joke that Shroomed gets powered up when there's a qualifying spot on the line. (For example, GameTyrant Expo 2017 to qualify for Smash Summit 5 and GENESIS 7 to qualify for Smash Summit 9.)
- Third-party GameCube controller adapters caused numerous issues during the Last Chance Qualifier, as opposed to first-party adapters, which are more reliable. They caused controller disconnects (for example, causing The6Master to lose a winning game in the last stocks of Game 2 vs. VoiD) and broke Lima's controller in his qualifying set vs. Ouch!?, forcing him to borrow ven's controller to narrowly win in a reverse 3-0 fashion, last game, last stocks.
- Both Melee and Ultimate singles featured a Canadian Ice Climbers player qualifying for the main event (Lunar Dusk and Big D, respectively).
