Local Wireless is the function in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in which players can play with other players via wireless connection.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

Local Wireless is exclusive to Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, and it is located in the Smash and Smash Run sub-menus. It is one of the ways to play with friends, the other being online in the With Friends mode. Up to four players can join.

In Ultimate
