MGS4 ~Theme of Love~ Smash Bros. Brawl Version
Origin
Origin
This track is technically an original music piece created for Brawl by Konami. This track was later remixed for use in the PlayStation 3 exclusive Metal Gear title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It is likely because of this track's exclusitivity to a future release on a 3rd party console that Super Smash Bros. Brawl is credited in the title of this track. In Metal Gear Solid 4, a slower version of this track was used as the game's main theme. In the same game, Solid Snake also owns an iPod, which features this exact rendition of the track, albeit with the name Love Theme (action version).

This track is a remix of the very first Main Theme of the Metal Gear franchise, playing in the MSX2 game simply titled Metal Gear. Despite Brawl implying that this track is a direct port of its original soundbyte by giving it a stamp saying 'Original' on the Sound test, this music piece is a slightly altered version of a track in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty that played when Solid Snake or Raiden battled a member of the Dead Cell enemy team. ===Origin===
Snake Eater was a music piece in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, serving as the main theme. However, the track featured vocals, which weren't included in Brawl in fear of running into liscensing and copyright issues, as the vocals are reminiscent of the Titanic soundtrack. The instrumental plays in the final battle against The Boss in Metal Gear Solid 3, after 5 minutes of battle. The vocal version of this track also featured during the battle against Liquid Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

In the sun we see, fighting over lines
All our dreams and wishes
We send home for safe keeping
Fighting for what’s right
Calling to the night, to dream

Feel the isolation fleeting
Calling to the night, to be, or not to be fighting here
Leaving without you, leaving my soul behind
Calling to the night, colors of Kodachrome fade with time
Calling to the night, for us, for every single life
All the ashes of men remain as a perfect memory
Calling to the night
But the heart will remain, as a silhouette of time
Hear the ringing echoes in the splitting horizon
Calling to the night
