Ryu Stage[edit]
Origin[edit]This is a Japanese-flavored arrangement of Ryu's iconic theme, a recurring musical piece throughout the Street Fighter series, first appearing as the music for Suzaku Castle in Street Fighter II. This remix, while close in style to the original, includes a new, improvised violin segment. It also incorporates the "crisis" version of the stage theme, originally heard when characters' HP reached a low enough threshold. It is rearranged by the original composer, Yoko Shimomura. Composition & Arrangements[edit]Source: Street Fighter II Arrangement Supervisor: Yoko Shimomura Composition: CAPCOM CO., LTD. Arrangement: Midiplex Co., Ltd. Composition Copyright CAPCOM U.S.A., INC. Arrangement Copyright Nintendo Other uses[edit]This track was used in Ryu's character trailer on the official website and in the credits after finishing his Classic Mode route. It uniquely plays on the Battlefield stage during his unlocking battle. Ken Stage[edit]
Origin[edit]An electric guitar-led rock arrangement of the theme for Ken, first used for his home stage, Battle Harbor, in Street Fighter II. In addition to chiptune-esque synths reminiscent of the original song, it also includes string sections as interludes. Just as with Ryu's theme, this remix incorporates the "crisis" version of the original music as well. Origin[edit]This track is a synth rock remix of Guile's theme, which first appeared on his home stage, the Air Force Base, in Street Fighter II. It is a very faithful arrangement, only deviating by including synth and electric guitar solos in the middle of the loop. Origin[edit]This track is a flamenco-inspired remix of Vega's theme, which first appeared as the theme for his stage, the Fighting Barroom, in Street Fighter II. Just like Ryu's theme, it is rearranged by the original composer, Yoko Shimomura. The theme starts out with a solo piano and gradually adds additional instruments: strings, acoustic guitar, and finally drums and bass.
