The Home-Run Stadium is a Special Stage used in the Home-Run Contest. It is comprised of a huge grassy stadium (which stretches infinitely in Super Smash Bros. Brawl) with a single small platform where a Sandbag and the player start. A Home-Run Bat is just to the left of both of these.

In Super Smash Bros. Melee

There is a wall to the left of the platform that Sandbag can be bounced off of; however, trying to bounce the sandbag against this wall often results in "No Distance" being awarded, due to the sandbag leaving the platform in the wrong direction. While the stage does eventually end, reaching such a distance is statistically impossible without hacking.

Stage data

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

An energy barrier now surrounds the platform that deactivates when the timer reaches approximately half a second before the timer reaches 0, meaning that the sandbag cannot easily move off the platform early. However, this shield appears to have some sort of health system, breaking if used excessively: for example, a smash attack from the home-run bat causing the sandbag to strike the shield causes it to break. Via hacking, this stage can be used on Versus Mode; however, as the stage does not have any blast lines, this stage is unusable for most Brawls.

In Super Smash Bros. 4

The Home-Run Stadium returns in Super Smash Bros. 4, now with the camera moving faster when Sandbag is hit far enough.

Trivia

  • Interestingly, in Brawl, if hacking is used, one can see the stadium itself runs out before the sky does.
  • In Brawl, in a co-op Home-Run Contest, if one player hits the Sandbag off the platform and the other player smash attacks it with the Home-Run Bat, it can be revealed that there is a sort of "back area" to the stadium.
